It is, therefore, necessary to have standard tests which can be adapted to meet user requirements. This book is thus intended to provide the comprehensive tests together with the procedure for evaluating the functioning of special modes of interest to the user. These requirements have led to the development of new testing techniques and consequently has put many demands on the test equipment performance and problems associated with evaluating the characteristics of present day devices with a measurements described. However, it must be remembered that, at all times, accurate results can be obtained only if the measured quantity is substantially unaffected by the measuring system.
