Out Of Print...The story of Raystede is one woman's idea on behalf of discarded and unhappy animals; to put into practical operation a promise that she would never say NO to the needy animal. It is now thirty years since Miss Raymonde-Hawkins founded the Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare in Sussex, England, and for every one of the days in all those years, no animal needing care has ever been refused. Some 70,000 mammals, birds and reptiles have had life eased for them. Countless owners have been given help and advice, and financial assistance has been given for the spaying and neutering of some 8,000 cats and dogs as well as frequently giving help for veterinary bills for those who could not afford to pay full professional fees.
