Travel Notes

Out Of Print... Travel Notes is a collection of some 40 new poems by Raymond Garlick after 10 years silence. A number of them are about voyages to sites of antiquity in Greece, the Levani, Egypt; and the equally exotic journeys, for a little child, to St Fagans and a zoo. Some are specifically about railway travel through central Wales, up the Tywi estuary, suburban commuting; and the journey of Dutch Jewry to its terrible termini. Others are more concerned with destinations London, Paris, Leningrad. The journey is also seen as an image of the little childs passage through her first years, and the poets continuing voyage through his experience.
