Collected Poems 1946-86

Out Of Print... Of more than two hundred poems written between 1946 and 1986, this collection contains all that the author upon reflection wishes to stand by and preserve in published form. They are drawn from several volumes, most of them long out of print: Poems From The Mountain House (1950, The Welsh Speaking Sea (1954), Blaenau Observed (1957), Landscapes And Figures (1964), A Sense Of Europe (1968), A Sense Of Time (1972) and Incense (1976). Slight changes have been made to the text of a very few poems. The collection contains a number of poems which have not hitherto appeared in book form. The secquence in which the poems appear here in no way reflects the order in which they were written or first published: it is entirely thematic. For the poems to make their total, cumulative statement, ideally this is the order in which they should be read.
