These few remaining birds somehow managed to survive in the remote upland valleys of central Wales. With the help of a group of conservationists the breed slowly and painfully recovered to forty seven pairs. The Red Kite is still only found in Wales and this book both serves as a guide to those who visit the area and an introduction to this magnificent bird.
