Out Of Print ... A Trip Through the Voodoo Lounge Tour 1994-95... Mr Gunnar Skibsholt is a dentist by day and a photographer by night, filling in the gaps other photographers leave behind. The bulk of the live photographs in this book were taken with his 300mm telephoto lens attached to his Nikon camera, using Simons {his tall son) shoulders as a tripod to steady the camera. Not only has Mr Skibsholt extracted great live photographs but he is also one of the few gentlemen to have witnessed the Stones very first concert in Denmark in 1965. A true fan, a true dentist and a great bloke. Dave Hogan is the fortunate man responsible for the marvellous shots of the Toronto debut show as well as being one of only two official photographers to be allocated photographic passes for the infamous Brixton Academy show in London, along with Justin Thomas. Many of the interviews featured in this book were conducted by Westwood One and we send our thanks to Joe Garner. Its too early to tell about a legacy, you dont start out doing this to influence people necessarily but there is a point where you realise your a voice for a generation where you shake it up and suddenly you wonder if you designed it or not or if you just felt an obligation to do what your doing. It's too late for job training weve got to keep the thing going. I dont think you can take up rock n roll at fifty and then suddenly realise that youth has a lot to do with it. As long as you can start young who knows what your limits will be and how long you can take it, we grew up with this stuff. KEITH RICHARDS Washington DC, 1994
