He enjoys all types of animals & wildlife; collecting dragons, Beanie Babies, and Star Wars memorabilia; plays soccer, basketball, tennis, guitar, bass, and flute; and has a black belt in taekwondo.
Evan is an avid reader, counting Dragon Rider, and the Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl series' among his favorite books. He lives in upstate New York with his co-author Mom, dad Greg, and his pets: "Elmo: the dog, "Diego" the Caledonian Eyelash Crested Gecko, and "Vader" the Madagascan hissing cockroach!
Evan is Vice President and co-owner of E & D Books, Ltd., a corporation he established with his mother. He also hopes to become an animal behaviorist and travel to the Galapagos Islands and Australia.
Donna Cardenia Ducker is Evan's proud mom.
A former television journalist, Donna worked as an associate producer for CNN in Atlanta, GA, and as a reporter with WTZA-TV in Kingston, NY. She wrote, produced, and edited features for local and national television.
A former Press Writer and Media Relations Coordinator for the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Donna was responsible for all matters related to the Institute's publicity via international print and broadcast media.
Although Buddy Booby's Birthmark is her first children's book, Donna has written for Taste magazine and has had several freelance features published in various publications.
Donna is the President of E & D Books, Ltd., a corporation she and Evan founded together for the Buddy Booby? series. She is also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
She served on the American Cancer Society's Ulster County Board of Directors, and edited Vision, the organization's newsletter. She served as an adjunct professor of Broadcasting at the State University of New York, Ulster County Community College, as well as on the college's Communications & Media Arts Advisory Council.
A member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Fraternity, Donna holds degrees in Communications & Business Management.
She enjoys singing, playing guitar, and song-writing--with inspiration from her favorite artists, Jamie Cullum, Bruce Springsteen, and Cyndi Lauper. She also enjoys NASCAR--naming Boris Said her favorite driver.
